Welcome to our Abbey!
Founded in Love, Faith, and Obedience to Christ, named in His honor, Saint Anne Prairie Rose Abbey, for she is the mother of Saint Mary, the Blessed Mother. In other words, the Grandmother of Jesus. She is the patron saint of our Abbey.
Saint Anne prayed that she and her husband Joachim would have a child, as they were thus childless, and she promised God that if her prayer be answered, she would consecrate the child to God forever.
And so, Our Blessed Mother, Mary was born, and she became the Mother of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
