Blessed are the Children

Blessed are the children

For they are new to this

World

Their eyes and minds are open

They are yet to be corrupted

By this world that corrupts men.

Blessed are the children

For they alone have the pure light

Of love,

Fresh from the cosmos

Here now after, but never safe

After their journey.

Blessed are the children

For they alone can forgive

They are filled with

Laughter and joy,

Blessed are the children

Who come to know

Our Lord.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:14)
